Thinking about starting your own Business? Already started a business but still have questions? Wondering how to do business with the State of CT or the Federal Government?  The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has partnered with the Bethel Chamber of Commerce to offer free seminars for small business owners and those thinking about entering the world of entrepreneurship.

Finding capital for your small business is not impossible.  Get pointers from the SBA that will help you get your business moving toward financial stability.  Topics discussed will be traditional (SBA’s guaranteed loan program) and non-traditional (SBA’s micro-loan program) ways of financing.

Financial Assistance for Newtown Businesses
Program is now closed for new applications.

Newtown businesses must have applied by February 15, 2013 -

Applications are no longer being accepted!

Newtown businesses that incurred economic losses due to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting may apply to the Town for a grant for actual losses sustained between December 14, 2012 and January 8, 2013. The State of Connecticut awarded Newtown a Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) to provide funding for the local program. 

The forms below may be downloaded, and submitted along with documentation to the Newtown Economic and Community Development Office, Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street, Newtown, CT 06470 no later than February 15, 2013
