SHOP LOCAL! Small Business Week is May 4-10
While Newtown’s Economic and Community Development Office hopes folks are always thinking local (like we do!) when it comes to their shopping and service needs, National Small Business Week helps us shine an even brighter light on the hundreds of local businesses that are sustainably thriving thanks to your patronage.
For more than 60 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has celebrated National Small Business Week (NSBW), which acknowledges the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
National Small Business Week 2025 will take place May 4-10, and SBA will be hosting its annual Virtual Summit Tuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7. This year’s event will include educational presentations by experts, exhibit booths, free business resources, multiple peer-to-peer networking rooms, and expert business advice from SCORE mentors.
The event is free to view for both established and aspiring business owners. However, you must first register to gain entry.
So, we’re encouraging any local business person who aims to take their enterprise to the next level to participate in the National Small Business Week Virtual Summit — your gateway to growth, innovation, and success.
